Empowering Your Path to Mental Wellness
Avery's Mental Health was established in 2019. The name of the business is in memory of the CEO's brother who died at such a young age. He too dealt with mental illness but in silence. Avery's Mental Health is determined to assist individuals in breaking the silence and normalizing mental healthcare. We aim to provide a place where every individual's journey is at the center of everything we do. We provide medication management only for now. We value each individual ensuring they receive the care they deserve. We believe in collaborating with our patients, taking their feedback seriously at every step. When you choose us, we see you as a unique person, not just a case. We understand life is busy and sometimes require flexibility. We offer flexible scheduling to fit your lifestyle.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How should I contact the office?
All non-urgent communication should begin through the patient portal.
Providers and staff are not available via personal phone numbers.
Kayla Mackey serves as the first point of contact and is able to assist with the majority of questions. Messages are routed to providers when appropriate.
How long does it take to hear back from my provider?
Providers may take up to 72 business hours to respond to messages.
Response times are based on provider working days, which are listed on our website and may differ from clinic hours.
Can I message my provider directly?
Messages should always begin in the patient portal. This allows your message to be reviewed and directed appropriately and helps ensure timely, organized communication.
How do medication refills work?
Controlled substance medications are only addressed during scheduled appointments.
Non-controlled medications may be processed only if a provider is in the office that day.
Medication refills will not be processed if you are overdue for an appointment.
To avoid interruptions, please schedule and keep follow-up appointments as recommended.
What if I’m almost out of medication?
We are currently booking approximately two weeks out. Waiting until the last few days before running out of medication may no longer allow enough time for refills or appointments.
We strongly encourage planning ahead and scheduling follow-ups early.
How far in advance should I schedule my follow-up appointment?
Whenever possible, follow-up appointments should be scheduled during your visit or well in advance to ensure continuity of care.
What should I do if I don’t see my follow-up appointment scheduled after my visit?
Please do not wait.
Log into the patient portal and attempt to self-schedule your appointment.
If you are unable to schedule through the portal, contact the office at 225-242-9342 (call or text available).
Why are these policies in place?
As our clinic continues to grow, these guidelines help protect provider and staff time, reduce delays, and allow us to give each client the care and attention they deserve.
